This site has owner’s manuals and tech tips that were written by Desa prior to their bankruptcy. You can also find links to purchase parts for Desa products, as well as links to other manufacturers of heating products similar to those previously offered by Desa. Products that were manufactured by Desa should only be serviced by qualified technicians. These manuals and guides fall into six clusters. For each cluster the opening page contains a short introduction and a hyperlinked list of manuals. The pages for each manual include a short introduction, chapter-level table of contents hyperlinked to respective files in pdf format and links to thematically related manuals. The behavioural aspects or their socio-economic determinants are outside the scope of this series. It's your world. Specifically, the Manuals explain basic projection methods, including the cohort-component method for projecting population by age and sex, a series of techniques for estimating and projecting the distribution of population by urban and rural areas and the size of particular cities or groups of cities, as well as the headship rate method of household projections. These Manuals are tightly related to and use material from the cluster Demographic Models. Since the quality of projections is determined by input data and hypotheses, the Manuals of the cluster Demographic Estimates are useful for practical applications of projection methods. The methods presented serve as a base for subnational projections included in the cluster Internal Migration and methods of projecting several indicators explained in the Manuals of the cluster Socio-economic Indicators. Module I: Conceptual issues and methods for preparing demographic projections. For the best experience on our site, be sure to turn on Javascript in your browser. Then refresh your browser. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way. Make sure batteries are oriented properly (see page 5). If it does not sound, try different positions for the transmitter, or increase the microphone sensitivity (Figure 3) by turning the Microphone Sensitivity Adjustment clockwise. In some instances, it may be necessary to take the removable microphone out of the transmitter case, and mount it directly on the existing chime case or inside the existing chime case on a resonating chamber (not on chime bars). There is a slot on the transmitter cover for the wires if an external mounting is required. Double-sided tape is provided to attach the microphone to your existing chime case. If the sensitivity is set too high, it may false trigger on common household noises. Carefully stick the transmitter to the exact location marked in step 6. Had my money refunded and told to scrap light rather than return.Replaced an outside light on a switch. Now I leave the switch on all the time and the Heath Zenith light comes on at night when motion activates it, It occasionally has come on for unknown reasons. But it may have been a bird or animal in my back yard. Install instructions are good. Operation guide is basic. These kind of lights have attracted nesting birds so monitor it. Quick delivery to Calgary. Thanks. It picked up a skunk in the yard last night at 1am from 55 feet away 2nd floor balcony. I have never seen a skunk in my yard. Not sure if I should tell the wife.:)The problem is the screw provided is far too long, that when I screwed the unit to the wall junction box it penetrated the electrical cable that comes into the junction box through the wall in the centre also. When I flipped the wall switch to test the unit, it blew a breaker as well as the motion detector on the fixture (sparks and smoke). I replaced the unit with a similar one that I bought from Amazon and used a smaller mounting screw - so far I ran a test and it appears to be OK. Its a pain to have to return the unit to Amazon for a refund. I should have read all of the reviews as it appears that others have had the same installation issue. That's it, it supports the fixture to the crossbar so you don't have to hold it while working overhead. Like one cent worth of plastic and it made such a difference to the ease of install. Motion works well, using it in a carport, coupled it with some LED 100 watt equivalents and it's a bright solid lighting solution.

Title 24 compliant..com Designed to provide safety, convenience, and security outside the home, the Heath Zenith motion-sensing security light (model SL-5411-GR) provides reliability and peace of mind at a price you can afford. The SL-5411-GR features 150-degree motion detection at up to 70 feet with a metal housing for durability, and it uses two PAR38 flood bulbs (120-watt, not included). They also provide convenient illumination when you need it most, whether you're working outside at night or needing to see the steps more clearly to avoid a fall. Lights are activated when motion is detected, so there's no need to waste electricity by leaving the lights on all night. You can choose between three auto modes—1, 5, or 10 minutes of illumination after motion triggers the light. However, when constant light is needed, this motion-activated light has a manual override mode that allows it to function as switch-controlled light for constant on, dusk-to-dawn lighting. Heath Zenith uses superior pulse-count motion detection technology, which prevents false triggering by reading heat and movement in pulses as opposed to single occurrences.

Follow the instructions below for setting a new code. The jumper positions 1 through 7 are used for setting the code. There are 128 different combinations. It is recommended to only change one jumper at a time and then check to see if system is functioning properly. Note: Jumpers in positions 1 through 7 must be exactly the same for both the transmitter and chime for this system to function. The factory setting is for the Ding-Dong tune (or Westminster, when available). This tune can be changed by following the instructions below. See diagram inside push button for correct battery orientation. Check polarity of batteries. Replace the transmitter batteries. Make sure the transmitter and the chime channels are the same (see page 5). Make sure the plug-in chime has power going to it. This reduces the transmitter range. The transmitter is designed to optimize its response to mid-frequency sound where most mechanical doorbells operate and to minimize response to extremely low or high frequency sounds. Also, the desired sound must be present continuously for at least 2 seconds. This design reduces the response to door slams, vibration, normal music and talking, etc. Loud continuous noises such as yelling children or very loud music may cause false triggering. When operating in a location with unusually high ambient noise levels try the remedies below. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. For a period of five years from the date of purchase, any malfunction caused by factory defective parts or workmanship will be corrected at no charge to you. Batteries are not covered. To obtain a refund or a replacement, return the product to the place of purchase. Unauthorized service or modification of the product or of any furnished component will void this warranty in its entirety.

This warranty does not include reimbursement for inconvenience, installation, setup time, loss of use, or unauthorized service. Retain receipt for warranty claims. Unfortunately someone took it into their head to adjust it, and disabled it. I've been trying to make the light work again, but it appears to be damaged. The range on the sensor is down to nothing and I can't seem to adjust it. Is there a way to fix this. Or should I just replace it. The motion sensor light I installed was a heath zenith SL 5411 A. Thanks Check the instruction manual. Some of these change modes by flipping the light switch off and on one or two times. If it is hardwired, try turning the circuit breaker off and on a couple times. I was using regular bulbs, and the unfocused light was confusing the light sensor, it wasn't sure if it was daylight or nighttime. I think it kept going into day mode (auto) and the lights would not go on when the motion sensor detected something. The halogens have focused light, they shield the light sensor so it knows it is night time. I did not know about this. Anyways the motion sensor light is working, and the back of the building is more secure. Nuestro sistema de seguridad de pagos encripta tu informacion durante la transmision de datos. However, the reliability and completeness of census results remain uneven and in several countries only one census has been implemented. This is the main reason why the census-based methods of estimating population size and particularly the methods for adjusting incomplete and deficient census data and extrapolating census results presented in Manual I, which has been compiled in the 1950s, remain relevant. The techniques to use incomplete and deficient data for estimating other demographic parameters from censuses and other sources are presented in Manuals II and IV. Manual X describes a wide range of time-tested techniques to make indirect estimates of demographic parameters. Each of the techniques presented is based on a mathematical model and explained in easy-to-follow examples. The blower circulates heated air from the ?replace into the room. See Accessories, page 34. Home owners weather strip and caulk around windows and doors to keep the cold air out and the warm air in. During heating months, home owners want their homes as airtight as possible. Fresh air must enter your home. All fuel-burning appliances need fresh air for proper combustion and ventilation. You must provide adequate fresh air for these appliances. This will insure proper venting of vented fuel-burning appliances. However, in buildings of unusually tight construction, you must provide additional fresh air. See Ventilation Air From Outdoors, page 7. Follow the National Fuel Gas Your options are as follows: See Ventilation Air From Outdoors. These spaces include attics and crawl spaces. Follow the Use this heater along with your primary heating system. Do not install this heater as your primary heat source. If you have a centralheatingsystem, youmay run system’s circulating blower whileusingheater.Thiswillhelp circulatetheheatthroughoutthe house. In the event of a power outage, you can use this heater as your primary heat source. Wall or framing material can be placed directly against any exterior surface on the rear, sides or top of your ?replace, except where standoff spacers are integrally attached. If standoff spacers are attached to your ?replace, these spacers can be placed directly against wall or framing materials. See Built-In Fireplace Installation, page 11. Although this is bene?cial, installing ?replace in rooms without enough ventilation air may cause mildew to form from too much moisture. See Air for Combustion and Ventilation, page 5. IMPORTANT: Make sure the ?

replace is level. If ?replace is not level, log set will not work properly. The electrical cord is ?ve feet in length. You must locate ?replace within reach of a 120 volt grounded electrical outlet. If not, you must install an electrical outlet within reach of ?replace power cord. The GA3555 outlet accessory is used for built-in applications with blower accessory installed. See page 11. Place the assembled trim onto ?replace cabinet. Align hanging notches on trim with hanging screws on side of ?replace (see Figure 7). Push trim ?rmlyintoplace, slidinghangingnotchesover If you can, provide greater clearances from ?oor, ceiling and adjoining wall. This will ensure safe installation. The hearth base accessory shown is optional for this installation. You can install ?replace and cabinet mantel directly on the ?oor. Assembly instructions are included with each accessory. Ifpossible, locateoutletsocabinetmantelwill cover it when installed (see Figure 9). Cut an access hole in hearth top to run ?exible gas line to ?replace (see Figure 9). Make sure to locate access hole so cabinet mantel will cover it when installed. Note: You can secure base to ?oor using wood screws. Countersink screw heads and putty over. Make sure mantel is ?ush against wall. Carefully set ?replace on protective material, with back of ?replace inside mantel opening. See Connecting Fireplace to Gas Supply, page 15. New materials, increased insulauon, and new construction methods help reduCe heat loss in homes. Home owners weather strip and caulk around windows and doors to keep the cold air out and the warm air in. During heating months, home owners want their homes as airtight as possible. While it is good to make your home energy efficient, your home needs to breathe. Fresh air muSt enter your home. You must provide adequate fresh air for these appliances, This will iusure proper venting of vented fuel-burning appliances. Unusually Tight Construction The air that leaks around doors and windows may provide enough fresh air for combustion and, ventilation. However, in buildings of unusually fight cousWactiou, you must provide additional fresh air. Unusually tight construction is defined as construction where: a. walls and ceilings exposed to the outside atmosphere have a continuous water vapor retarder with a rating of one perm or less with openings gasketed or sealed and b. weather stripping has been added on openahle windows and doors and c. caulking or sealants are applied to areas such as joints around window and door frames, between sole plates and floors, between wall-ceiling joints, between wall panels, at penetrations for plumbing, electrical, and gas lines, and at other openings. If your home meets all of the three criteria above, you must provide additional fresh air. See Ventilation Air From Outdoors, page 8. If your home does not meet all of the three criteria above, continue reading. The National Fuel Gas Code delines a conlincxl space its a space whose volume is less than 50 cubic feet per 1,000 Btu per hour (4.
